30 weeks old!

This week, we started to change Chloe's feeding and her nap schedules to where she is taking 3 bottles a day instead of 4 and taking 2 naps a day instead of 3. She switched to this schedule like a champ with no problems.

Her new schedule looks like this:

6am wake up
7am 8oz formula
8:30/9 to 10:30/11 nap
12pm 8oz formula
1/1:30/3/3:30 nap
5pm 8oz formula
6:30/7pm sleep

We add two or three times of solid feedings here and there. She seems to do really well with her new schedule and hopefully she will stay on this schedule for awhile.

Developmentally, she has started to hold an object in each hand and bang them against each other. She has also passed a toy from one hand to the other. We've also tried hiding her toys from her underneath a blanket or behind our backs and she knows to look for them. It is amazing to see her grow and develop right in front of our eyes.

Here is our happy Chloe, just hanging out with mommy. She received this little elephant blanket as a party favor at one of our neighbor friend's 3yr birthday party. (Her first birthday party to attend).

Here is Chloe cheering for the Rockies at the Coors Field. It has been so much fun to bring Chloe to the Rockies game. She is very content on our laps and enjoys looking around at the crowd and all the noise around her.

Chloe is starting to learn how to take a hat off of her head.

She also loves to chew on anything and everything. We keep some of her chew toys in the fridge to make them nice and cool and she loves to munch on them.

Here is chloe trying to crawl, but she has not mastered it yet. She falls on her belly and doesn't seem to know how to move from there.
Maybe next week, we'll announce that Chloe is crawling?

29 Weeks old!

The new development this week for Chloe is that she is back to a daycare setting instead of having a nanny. We had a really good recommendation for an "at home" daycare place. Chloe got to visit two days this week and she loved it. Her favorite thing to do was to watch the 2-3 yo toddlers playing around. We are hoping that she will learn more things at the daycare that we can't teach her at home. We love to pick up a happy baby at the end of the day.

Chloe at the Rockies game. She loves seeing lots of people and cheering for the Rockies. She got to meet Dinger (the mascot) as well.

She is starting to eat more solids and seems to enjoy them.

Chloe is still spending most of her playtime sitting down. She does lunge forward as if she wants to crawl, but hasn't been successful in moving forward. She loves to stand up while holding on to our fingers. If she has something to hold on to, she can remain standing for a while. She is still such a sweet and happy baby.

Chloe came back from her 1st day at her new daycare with her first art project. We proudly posted it on our refrigerator.

Here is Chloe, bright and early on the 2nd day of her daycare morning. We are so happy that Chloe is doing so well at her new daycare!!!

28 weeks old

Chloe is getting more lovable everyday if that's even possible. We haven't bought too many toys for her, but she does have plenty of toys to play with.

Chloe's favorite toy this day, however was this formula can. It turns out to be a very versatile toy. She can roll it, play drums on it, and also munch on the top cover.

Oh oh, where did my toy go???

We hadn't heard the birds chirping for awhile, so we got the ladder out again to peak in the nest and Voila! they are gone!

Here is Chloe enjoying the beautiful weather after a walk around the "mountain" (If you've visited us, you know what I mean).

The dogs are enjoying the weather as well. Well, mostly Gator is, since he loves to suntan.

We've been telling ourselves that Chloe's teething for the last three months now and finally a tooth has surfaced. Can you see the mamelons?

Ok, Come down now, Chloe. It's making mommy nervous!

I just realized, Chloe is in this same onesie in most of the photos. This is how she spends most of her play time, on her bum playing with her toys in our livingroom.

Here is Chloe brushing her two front teeth after having some solids. She definitely is a dentist in the making. :)

As always, thanks for visiting our blog!

27 weeks old

Mark and Wendy came for a visit over the Memorial day weekend to run in their 2nd Bolder Boulder race. Mark and Wendy are the 1st uncle and aunt that Chloe has met. She wasn't sure about them at first, but then she really warmed up.

There is that sweet, big smile! Keep the smiles coming Chloe!!!

Chloe is ready to enjoy the sunny weekend weather. We are headed out to Wash Park with Wendy and Mark.

A little bird made a nest on top of our outdoor speaker right by our sliding glass door. We started to hear birds chirping so we brought out the ladder and took this picture. It's hard to see, but there are 4 baby birds in this nest.

Here is Chloe hanging out with uncle Mark. Maybe she's wondering why he doesn't have any hair on top of his head but down on his chin...

Talking with aunt Wendy. Chloe kept wanting to play with Wendy's bracelet watch.

Here is Chloe patiently waiting for some solid food. Still, her favorites are sweet potatoes and apples.

Summer is definitely here with high temperatures reaching 90 degrees. Here is Chloe playing in her summer dress. Look at those rolls!!!

She loves playing with her daddy. Chloe loves to giggle and laugh while playing with daddy.

Thanks for visiting and keeping up with Chloe's development!

26 weeks and 6 months old

Chloe is now 26weeks old. We can't believe how fast the time has flown by.

Chloe is really turning into a small little person. She is trying to say something constantly. Right now, lots of "ma ma ma"s and "da da da"s. She is starting to put "ah" or "um" in front of them too. Her favorite thing to say is "ah da". Her voice is so soft and sweet, we can't get enough of these babbles. The screams that she does (she thinks is also a way of talking) we hope will end soon to make sure that she doesn't have deaf parents!

Here is Chloe just chilling on the recliner with her toys. She is such a happy baby.

Now that Chloe is sitting on her own, we have been slacking with her "tummy times". She hasn't shown any signs of crawling yet. Her belly never lifts off the floor, but her arms and legs move a lot.

Here is Chloe sleeping in her crib finally. This is a picture of the video monitor. We made her room pitch dark, so she had no idea where she was. This wasn't a really good sleep night for her though. She woke up frequently and mommy didn't get much sleep either.

Here is Chloe napping back on the guest bed. Phil found her sleeping with her paci stuck on her ear. We don't think we could get the paci to stick like this even if we tried. We don't know how this happened, but it was funny.

Chloe getting lots of loves from her daddy. There is no question that she is already a "daddy's girl".

Here is 6 month old Chloe. This is pretty much how she sits all the time. She loves to play with her toes. At her 6 month appointment, she weighed in at 16lb 11oz (75%), height of 26 1/2 inches (75%), and head size of 42.5cm (50%). She is staying very consistent on her growth chart percentiles.

Phil and I love this little girl so much, we aren't sure if there is any possibility to love her any more!
